The Patient Data System (PDS) is a comprehensive database of patient records offered to members by NCHA. The system enables participants to analyze the healthcare market and assess market position, shifts in key product services, patient origin, quality of care, patient safety and much more.

The PDS program will be migrated in 2019 to the Hospital Industry Data Institute (HIDI), a division of the Missouri Hospital Association. As part of the migration, HIDI is offering several training opportunities to data submitters, reviewers and analytic professionals who work closely with the PDS Program through their NC hospitals and/or free standing ambulatory surgical facilities.

Webinar outcomes: This training will detail the steps for successful submittal of applicable patient data to HIDI's submission site. This training is being offered in advance of the test data submission of 10/1/2019 - 11/15/2019.

Audience: Data Submitters from North Carolina hospitals and freestanding ambulatory surgical facilities who submit patient data to the statewide data processor.
